ROSEMARY JEWEL RAUSSER
Rosemary Jewel Rausser passed peacefully on September 30, 2021 at the age of 93.
She was born August 12, 1928 in Sacramento to Mary and Joseph Cutler. She was the youngest of four children and the beloved sister to her older brothers Joe, Glenn, and David who have all predeceased her.
As a young woman she was very involved in her church, Community Evangelical, where she met her future husband, Loren (Bud) Rausser. They married March 17, 1945. She worked for many years for the Sacramento Dept. of Motor Vehicles. In 1964 she moved to Chico where she and her husband opened Rausser Distributing. Rose enjoyed outdoor activites and spent many summers with Bud at Lake Almanor.
She also enjoyed deer and pheasant hunting with friends and family. She became very active in golf where she made many wonderful friends. She was a member of Bidwell Golf Group and Butte Creek Country Club for 45 years. She was captain of the travel team for five years and captain of Ladies Club, and was in charge of Chico Ladies Open for four years.
She is survived by her son, Dennis Rausser (Ann). Her husband and her daughter, Karen, predeceased her. She leaves six grandchildren and eleven great grandchildren.
Rose was deeply loved by many nieces and nephe w s , and by all who knew her.
A private graveside service will be held at a later date
