Too much evidence of a system gone awry

Good news America, the Economic Intelligence Unit (whomever that might be) not only rates the US of A as a “flawed” democracy it shows a gradual pulling back from the utopian goal of a full democracy, Otherwise known as death by committee.

I can honestly say I want every person to speak their mind in a public space and freely vote their conscience in a truly free and fair election (a utopian thought if I’ve ever heard one) and I feel that political shaming, vote trading, gerrymandering and ballot harvesting are indicators of a system gone awry.

Why would we trade our basic constitution freedoms for a corrupt outcome based political and economic system?
