Special thanks to Jim and Laurie Noble

-

We want the Chico community to know that this year’s Manton Apple Festival was a huge success, due in part to Jim and Laurie Noble. We had over 7,000 visitors come out to our tiny town located in the northwest Lassen foothills. The festival prides itself on local, homemade pies, sold whole or by the slice. Our non-profit, Manton Education Council, was privileged to take over the pie making this year. All proceeds are going toward supporting our education programs and purchasing our 100-year-old school campus. We want to thank the Noble family for donating most of the apples that went into our pies.

Jim and Laurie Noble from Noble Orchards in Paradise got ahold of us in late August and offered their gorgeous apples. You may not know, but Laurie and Jim lost their entire farm in the Camp Fire. The only thing that survived was their 100-year-old orchard. Now they are counting on the public to come and pick their apples. You can find information regarding their U-Pick days on Facebook (@NobleOrchards), as well as at the Chico Farmers Market on Saturday mornings. Please support this family farm.

Thank you Jim and Laurie Noble for your generosity.
