Bobcats have another football game canceled

PARADISE » For the third time this year, a Paradise High School football game has been canceled because the Bobcats’ opponents were dealing with COVID-19.

The Bobcats learned Thursday that its Sacramento Valley road game Friday night in Colusa has been canceled.

Bobcat head Coach Rick Prinz said that there is no space in the remaining schedule to make it up.

He said that this will leave the Bobcats with an eight game schedule and is unsure how it may impact their league finish and playoff seeding.

It is the third game this year that Paradise has had a game canceled because the opposition had a COVID-19 problem.

Paradise’s season opener against Corning was canceled due to COVID-19, a second game against Red Bluff was postponed to a later date because of COVID.

The 4-1 Bobcats were looking to go to 3-0 Sacramento in Valley play Friday night.

The Bobcats are supposed to host Pierce on Oct. 23.
