Butte College to hold free tax webinar

The Butte College Small Business Development Center is hosting a free zoom webinar regarding basic sales and use tax/tax return preparedness.

The course is connected with the California Department of Tax and Fee Administration.

The course’s goal is to teach an understanding of sales and use tax, district tax, taxable and non-taxable labor as well as foreign and interstate taxability. Participants can find out if they need a seller’s permit and learn how to finish a resale certificate.

Also, the course teaches how to understand what exemptions and deductions are available and the formula for selling items with tax included.

The webinar will be held Tuesday, May 3, from 9 to 11:30 a.m.
