Festival to feature paintings, sculptures, photography, fiber, ceramics

The Chico Visual Arts alliance is hosting its inaugural Chico Art Festival, formerly Art at the Matador,

from 4 to 8 p.m. Friday, May 6 and from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday, May 7 outside St John’s Episcopal Church located at 2341 Floral Ave.

The public is invited to the family-friendly event where artists will be exhibiting their paintings, sculptures, photography, fiber and ceramic art.

In addition, there will be live music, food trucks, a margarita bar and activities for children including face painting with Chico Community Ballet dancers, a singa-long with Children’s Choir of Chico and crafts for kids by Mount Lassen Fiber Guild.
