Quilt designer to lecture, display work

The May meeting of Annie’s Star Quilt Guild will feature Julia McLeod, who specializes in making silk quilts, sourcing fabrics from neckties, clothing and furnishing fabrics.

McLeod, a resident of the East Bay, has been featured on Quiltshow.com and teaches at the Mancuso Show Management’s Quilt Fest.

McLeod’s presentation will include a trunk show of many of her quilts.

Guild meetings are held at 7 p.m. the first Thursday of every month at the Chico Masonic Family Center, 1110 W. East Ave., with doors opening at 6:30 p.m.

Annual membership is $35. Guests may attend with a $5 admission fee.
