Shout-out for Chico’s PGA golfer

-

A big shout-out to Chico High grad Kurt Kitayama who finished tied for 2nd place and got plenty of TV time Sunday at the PGA’s new tour stop in Puerto Vallarta, Mexico.

Kitayama was in the mix all four days at the Mexico Open and battled eventual winner John Rahm until the end. He finished a single stoke behind Rahm, ranked second in the world. Kurt is in his initial season with PGA Tour status after winning twice on the European Tour a couple of years ago. His second place finish follows a third place showing at the Honda Classic in late February in Florida. Keep up the great work Kurt.
