Personal attacks versus policy points

-

Who knew one needed a rebuttal to a rebuttal of one’s rebuttal to a clearly partisan attack by David Welch in an attempt to have people look right instead of extreme left? Welch’s first two letters lauded two extreme leftists and gaslit anyone concerned about dirty needles and skyrocketing overdoses in Chico. He also failed to note he is a political operative, not just a ‘supporter.’ He stood elbow to elbow with Brown on her ‘Brown New Deal’ policies, supports the free needle giveaway, was a main player in the recent recall attempt of council-members, and was a mudslinger on political fliers full of lies.

My letter was far from incoherent. It clearly denoted the ills brought to our community by those Welch supports and outed him as a well-known long-time Democratic Operative. Instead of sticking on his topics which I rebutted, Welch personally attacked me. To be clear, I did NOT write Huber’s out of state employer, in point of fact I messaged people to avoid doing so. When people go off topic and make personal attacks versus staying on policy points, clearly they have something to hide about their character.

Welch being a retired nurse has no bearing on his character or election choices, his mentioning it was a play for sympathy. I’ve been in public service over 25 years assisting disadvantaged community residents. So what? Transparency, honesty, kindness, hard work, and standing up for what we believe is what defines us.
