Trial date set for FKA twigs’ case vs. Shia LaBeouf

A trial date has been set in a civil case between singer FKA twigs and former romantic partner Shia LaBeouf. The singer, whose legal name is Tahliah Barnett, filed a lawsuit against LaBeouf in 2020 alleging “relentless abuse,” including sexual battery, assault and emotional distress, during the pair’s relationship. A court in Los Angeles set a jury trial date of April 17, 2023. “The gaslighting has gone on long enough here and it’s time to hold Shia LaBeouf accountable,” Barnett’s lawyer said in a statement to Rolling Stone.
