Max Steiner for US Congress

-

The League of Women Voters recently hosted a candidates’ forum for the upcoming Congressional District 1 elections, which includes Butte County. Everyone but our “he’s one of us” Congressman Doug LaMalfa showed up to answer questions from the people. Max Steiner, Tim Geist, and Rose Penelope Yee all showed up and openly, robustly, and honestly communicated their ideas and reasons for wanting to represent Butte County in Washington. The League said it was the first time a congressional candidate had not shown up for such a forum. Way to go Doug … a new first!

Whom amongst us wants continued representation by No-Show LaMalfa, who thinks the public doesn’t deserve his presence; who believes the January 6 insurrection was merely a protest; a climate denier; an anti-masker; a congressman who is on the take for millions of self-legislated farm subsidies; a candidate way too beholden to our ag community to be impartial; a candidate who has shown blatant disrespect for constituents at Town Hall forums and again here, with his absence at this event? Not I! You?

I’m backing Max Steiner, a combat veteran; a candidate who shows up; a candidate who believes climate change is real; who wants to tackle forest management; who believes in a woman’s right to choose; a self-described moderate Democrat who’s open minded and wants full debate on issues … with you!

Let’s halt the No-Show LaMalfa gravy train. Vote for

Max Steiner!
