Aircraft skids off runway at the Chico Municipal Airport, pilot remains uninjured
CHICO » Chico Firefighters responded to the Chico Municipal Airport on Sunday afternoon after an airplane skidded off the runway.
The airplane, which was a Stoddard-Hamilton Glasair III that was registered to a man from Novato, California, according to Federal Aviation Administration records.
The pilot of the plane was uninjured.
The cause for the crash was determined by the fire department as a malfunction of the front landing gear.
