On Roe v. Wade and ‘the leak’

-

Roe v Wade, as long as so many men refuse to share sexual responsibility, why are they allowed to determine what is “settled law” for women?

Am I being ‘complicit’? No longer a question, as this 80-year-old women is feeling fear and outrage concerning “the leak.”

Although abortion is often a “hot topic” I continue to be amazed that folks firmly believe Pro Life is the only answer. They tell me over and over again that Pro Choice results in women using abortion as birth control. I hear it as a sound reason to end legal abortion. To them I say, there are many folks that use guns to kill and rob; are you for a total ban on guns? Of course you aren’t.

If you are Pro Life, please don’t have an abortion. But don’t self appoint as judge and jury over my choice. Have you no room for grace and compassion? This should be a private medical choice between me and my health care provider

In 1962 I chose adoption. I was 19 and unprepared or able to single parent. In 1973 complications with birth control resulted in an unplanned pregnancy. I immediately chose a legal abortion.

Having traveled both roads, I firmly believe legal and safe abortion must stand. And on a happy note, I was reunited with my birth son in 1991. Life is good
