Some final words on the way to Texas

-

Today I watched my furniture be loaded onto a truck as liberal politics and high taxation chase me from my lifelong home in NorCal to Texas.

First, a big thank you to the Chico E-R for printing my submissions through the years to “From the Pulpit” which became “Pastor Talk” sharing my “not mainstream” Christian worldview. (David Little was irreplaceable, but I think Mike Wolcott has filled the shoes pretty well.) Second, good luck to Chico, a beautiful town sadly saddled and ridden daily by “the homeless” thanks to a lawyer and a case that should have been thrown out in favor of taxpayers and Oroville equally beautiful a town that has never figured how to get out of its own way. I won’t miss the constant misinformed dribble of Paulo, Beadle, Imhoff and the rest, simply put, yeah right! Long live the truth of Anthony Watts, you were right under their nose, I believe the saying evil triumphs when good men say nothing is true and as Jesus said, “be a doer not just a hearer.”

OK here we go. I will miss my home! But sometimes enough must be enough, I’m moving back where it’s still America. And when we get it back in ’22 and ’24 and we will just watch, we will fix it for good this time. So as we say goodbye to California we leave this limerick. “We tried to warn ya-but ya F-ed up California We moved—God blessed us Don’t mess with Texas.”
