HUNTING EDITOR WILL BRANTLEY REPLIES:
We have two squirrel seasons here in Kentucky. One runs from late May through late June, the other from midaugust through February. I’ve enjoyed hunting them both for the past 30 years. We have plenty of biting insects here, too, but they aren’t as annoying as, say, arguing with a Yankee. If you can’t get your squirrels to sit still, I suggest sneaking through the woods quietly, without talking. Could be a tall order, but it works for me. Good hunting, Mike!
