I love Oxy­gen, and I’ve been ve­gan for 22 years, so it was great to see you rec­og­nize the grow­ing trend to­ward plant-based nu­tri­tion with weekly meal plans that in­cluded some ve­gan op­tions in the March/ April 2018 is­sue. I felt a lit­tle let down by the low daily pro­tein con­tent in your veg­gie meal plans, how­ever. Ve­gan ath­letes can and should get the daily rec­om­mended 1 gram of pro­tein per pound of body­weight to see plenty of “ve­g­ains!” I hope you’ll con­sider up­ping the pro­tein for the next ve­gan menu you cre­ate.
