Running backs fill up the waiver wire
Here’s roundup of some of the fantasy football players you could be targeting ahead of Week 13.
Some of the names below might be taken already, but if not, there are a bunch of dudes who could change your fantasy fortunes this season.
Let’s run through them, in no particular order:
1. Vikings RB Alexander Mattison
I’m going to assume that Dalvin Cook’s backup is already on a team in your league. But if not? Cook was injured on Sunday, opening up some playing time for the backup who’s had some big games and who could produce a ton next week against the Lions.
2. Panthers RB Chuba Hubbard
Christian McCaffrey will miss the rest of the season with an ankle injury, so it’s worth grabbing Hubbard even with the Panthers on a bye next week.
3. Lions RB Jamaal Williams
If D’Andre Swift and his shoulder miss any time, Williams will have plenty of value especially when Jared Goff checks down to him like the QB does with Swift.
4. Eagles RB Boston Scott
Another RB who’s probably rostered, but if not? He could be at the head of a three-headed monster of Eagles RBs af- ter what we saw Sunday.
5. Titans RB Dontrell Hilliard
D’Onta Foreman got 19 carries for 109 yards and one target against the Patriots. Hilliard? He got 12 carries for 131 yards and a touchdown. I’m intrigued by both but figure that Hilliard will be more available.
6. Bills RB Matt Breida
Zack Moss? He was a healthy scratch (yikes!). Breida looked pretty good against a tough Saints defense, grabbing two passes including a touchdown and split carries with Devin Singletary (15 for the latter, 9 for Breida). He could have FLEX value going forward.
7. Lions WR Josh Reynolds
Kind of a dart-board throw — the Lions need a wideout to do SOMETHING, and the former Titan went 5-70-1 on Thanksgiving. And Jared Goff knows him from their Rams days.
8. Jets RB Tevin Coleman
With Michael Carter injured, it was Coleman who owned the backfield touches for the Jets — 16 carries, 67 yards and three targets. Ty Johnson and Austin Walter got work too, but Coleman is worth picking up anyway.
