HILFIGER

Palm Beach Daily News - - TODAY -

year, $17.5 million mortgage with JPMorgan Chase, acting as manager of Villa Bendita LLC, the limited liability company that bought the house, Palm Beach County courthouse records show. The mortgage was first reported by TheRealDeal.com.

Stolyarenko is the former president and chairman of the executive board of Evrofinance Mosnarbank, a commercial bank based in Moscow. He held that position between 2012 and 2016, according to published reports.

At least one other Russian owns a prominent oceanfront property on the island. In 2008, Russian fertilizer billionaire Dmitry Rybolovlev paid a recorded $95 million for an estate of about 6 acres at 515 N. County Road, four lots north of the former Hilfiger house. A company controlled by Rybolovlev bought it from President Donald Trump in a record-setting transaction.

In 2016, Rybolovlev razed a mansion on the property and had the land subdivided into three lots, two of which have since sold for a combined $71.34 million. The third lot, at 525 N. County Road, is for sale at $42 million, listed by broker Lawrence Moens of Lawrence A. Moens Associates.

Hilfiger and his fashion designer wife, Dee Ocleppo, owned their six-bedroom, Mediterranean-style mansion for a little more than a year when they sold it. Stolyarenko’s company paid them $1 million more than they bought it for.

Because of Delaware’s strict privacy laws, no other information about the buyer was immediately available in public records at the time of the sale.

Standing on nearly an acre and facing about 203 feet of direct-ocean frontage, the one-story house has 13,773 square feet of living space, six bathrooms and two half-baths.

The sellers sold the house through an ownership company, Villa Deniz LLC, named after Ocleppo’s given name.

The buyer’s oceanfront neighbors include television personality Dr. Mehmet Oz and his wife, Lisa; radio shock jock Howard Stern and his wife, Beth Ostrosky; rocker Jon Bon Jovi and his wife, Dorothea Hurley; takeover billionaire Nelson Peltz and his wife, Claudia; former Green Mountain Coffee Roasters and Keurig chief Robert Stiller and his wife, Christine; and Canadian businessman William Pencer.

When the house changed hands, broker Christian J. Angle of Christian Angle Real Estate confirmed that he was “part of the sale” but declined further comment. It was unclear whether any other agents or agencies were involved in the transaction.

Moens represented the sellers in the 2017 deal when the Hilfiger and Ocleppo bought the house. They were represented by broker Linda Gary of Linda A. Gary Real Estate.

Moens also represented Trump in the 2008 sale of the property on North County Road opposite agent Carole Hogan of Brown Harris Stevens, representing Rybolovlev.

The former Hilfiger house has courtyards, cast-stone decorative details, painted-beamed ceilings, leaded-glass windows and Jerusalem limestone floors with Italian mosaic-tile accents. The main entry loggia has an elaborately vaulted ceiling.

Hilfiger founded Tommy Hilfiger Corp. in 1985 and built it into a fashion and lifestyle empire. He sold the company in 2006, and today it is part of PVH, formerly Phillips-Van Heusen. Hilfiger is the company’s principal designer. Ocleppo has designed handbags and other accessories for her eponymous label.
