Applications for Gold Nugget Days queen to open next weekend

PARADISE >> The application for the 65th Gold Nugget Days queen will open for one day on Saturday, Nov. 19 from noon until 4 p.m.

The application will be available at the Gold Nugget Museum located on 475 Pearson Road for one day, however the application can be picked up by anyone for someone interested in applying, according to the museum.

Prospective applicants must be a junior graduating in 2024 or a senior graduating in 2023 and either attend a Paradise school, home school, charter school or live on the Paradise ridge.

Gold Nugget queen contestants are judged on the authenticity of the original period costume from the 1850 to 1899 era as well as the quality of the individual portfolios, poise, demeanor and appearance.
