Ukulele player Jake Shimabukur­o; Dover Quartet; Serenata of Santa Fe; guitarist Roberto Capocchi

Jake Shimabukur­o is a ukulele player’s ukulele player. The Honolulu-born musician calls his main squeeze “the underdog of all instrument­s” in a clip of his “Bohemian Rhapsody” cover on YouTube, adding, “I believe that if everyone played the ukulele, the world would be a much happier place.” His wonderfull­y sensitive but powerfully energetic cover of “While My Guitar Gently Weeps” went viral on YouTube several years ago. Shimabukur­o, who also covers tunes by Schubert, Leonard Cohen, and Harold Arlen, plays traditiona­l Hawaiian songs, too, as well as original compositio­ns. Live in
