Tom Kirby: Immanence 2016, oil on canvas

Sixty-four new paintings are included in the show. Kirby incorporates geometric diagrams and mathematical formulas into his small-scale abstractions. “My interest in these equations and geometrical diagrams is their permanent and eternal nature,” he writes. “Mathematical truth, essential and enduring; these are also the aesthetic qualities of true art.”
