WIENER-DOG

Filmmaker Todd Solondz revisits Dawn Wiener, the protagonist of his 1995 indie hit Welcome to the Dollhouse, in this sortof sequel. The character, once an awkward and tormented teenager, is now a grown woman played by the beautiful Greta Gerwig — a move that has upset Dollhouse’s cult fanbase. However, the film primarily centers on a wiener dog that is passed from owner to owner, each of whom has their own set of problems. Rated R. 90 minutes. The Screen. (Not reviewed)
