The show includes works by Dorothy Brett, Emil Bisttram, Paul Burlin, and other modernists active in New Mexico from the early to mid-20th century. The subject matter includes landscape painting, ceremony, dance, and ritual among the Pueblo and Hispanic communities in a range of styles, including realism and abstraction.
