Take 15: Brief Encounters

Every summer, Performance Santa Fe presents a recital series with featured singers from Santa Fe Opera’s season. Such recitals will take place again this year, performed by soprano Anna Christy on Aug. 4 and mezzo-soprano Paula Murrihy on Aug. 20. But to begin the series, the organization is offering something different: a program called Brief Encounters, comprising three very short (15-minute) operas by as many composers, all on the subject of love and marriage: Avow by Mark Adamo, Again by Jake Heggie, and Feel the Tango by Joe Illick. The performance takes place at 4 p.m. on Sunday, July 30, at the Scottish Rite Center (463 Paseo de Peralta).
