Acosta-Strong Fine Art, 640 Canyon Road, 505-453-1825 The exhibition La Vida Bella, Hispanic Images of the Southwest is the gallery’s third annual show of works by Edward Gonzales. Founder of the Santa Fe Contemporary Hispanic Market, which takes place annually in conjunction with the traditional Spanish Market, Gonzales is known for expressionist paintings that capture the customs and traditions of New Mexico’s Hispanic communities and the Southwest. He is a 2013 recipient of the Governor’s Award for Excellence in the Arts. The opening reception is Friday, July 27, at 5 p.m. and coincides with Spanish Market and Contemporary Hispanic Market happening in downtown Santa Fe.
