Acosta-Strong Fine Art, 640 Canyon Road, 505-453-1825 The ex­hi­bi­tion La Vida Bella, His­panic Im­ages of the South­west is the gallery’s third an­nual show of works by Ed­ward Gon­za­les. Founder of the Santa Fe Con­tem­po­rary His­panic Mar­ket, which takes place an­nu­ally in con­junc­tion with the tra­di­tional Span­ish Mar­ket, Gon­za­les is known for ex­pres­sion­ist paint­ings that cap­ture the cus­toms and tra­di­tions of New Mex­ico’s His­panic com­mu­ni­ties and the South­west. He is a 2013 re­cip­i­ent of the Gover­nor’s Award for Ex­cel­lence in the Arts. The open­ing re­cep­tion is Fri­day, July 27, at 5 p.m. and co­in­cides with Span­ish Mar­ket and Con­tem­po­rary His­panic Mar­ket hap­pen­ing in down­town Santa Fe.
