The Bard comes to the Adobe Rose: King Lear

Dur­ing the past year, the In­ter­na­tional Shake­speare Cen­ter has been host­ing read­ings, lec­tures, and work­shops re­lat­ing to the Bard’s tragedy

King Lear, with all its blow­ing winds, crack­ing cheeks, rag­ing cataracts, and blow­ing hur­ri­ca­noes. The in­cen­tive cul­mi­nates in a staged pro­duc­tion of the play, directed by Caryl Farkas, which runs for nine en­act­ments be­gin­ning at 7 p.m. on Fri­day, Sept. 14. Per­for­mances take place through Sept. 30, at 7 p.m. on Fri­days and Satur­days and at 2 p.m. on Sun­days, at Adobe Rose Theatre, 1213-B Park­way Drive.
