Creepy cabaret: Theater of Death VI: Invasion!
Melodrama mashes with monsters of the extraterrestrial variety in Joe West’s Theater of Death VI: Invasion! at the Engine House Theatre (2864 NM-14) in Madrid. Joe West, a local favorite on the music scene, is joined by numerous performers for a hair-raising Halloween fright fest modeled on the Grand Guignol tradition that originated in Paris in the waning days of the 19th century. Bring your jacket — because the Engine House gets cold at night — and your wits, because the show is designed to scare them right out of you. Theater of Death VI:
Invasion! is 8 p.m. Friday, Oct. 26, with performances continuing through Sunday, Nov. 4, at 8 p.m. on Fridays, 3 p.m. and 8 p.m. on Saturdays, and 3 p.m. on Sundays. The special Wednesday, Oct. 31, Halloween show is at 8 p.m. Tickets are $20, invasiontheaterofdeath .brownpapertickets.com. — J.L.
