For more than 40 years, Coupon shot ethno­graphic im­agery as well as iconic fig­ures in mu­sic, pol­i­tics, sports, and the arts, in­clud­ing Miles Davis, Muham­mad Ali, and Keith Har­ing. He’s trav­eled the world pho­tograph­ing Quechua peo­ple in Bo­livia, Moroc­can Ber­bers, and New Guinea tribes­men. Coupon’s works have ap­peared in The Wash­ing­ton Post, The Econ­o­mist, Peo­ple, and other pub­li­ca­tions. The gallery hosts a re­cep­tion at 5 p.m. on Satur­day, Dec. 8, and Coupon signs copies of his mono­graph dur­ing the event.
