Edi­tion One Gallery, 728 Canyon Road, 505-570-5385 Ed Lar­son, a long­time Santa Fe res­i­dent and folk artist, is Edi­tion One’s artist-in-res­i­dence for Novem­ber and De­cem­ber. Lar­son’s col­or­ful stu­dio was a fix­ture on Canyon Road for many years, with its sign re­mind­ing visi­tors that “Je­sus Says Buy Folk Art.” An oc­to­ge­nar­ian, Lar­son has many sto­ries to tell about all of the in­ter­est­ing peo­ple he’s met. Stop by the gallery for the open­ing of Won­der­ful Ed’s West­ern Art and Whim­si­cal Sculp­tures and hear some tales. The re­cep­tion is at 4 p.m. on Fri­day, Nov. 9. The gallery hosts a screen­ing of Mark Steven Shep­herd’s film about Lar­son, Won­der­ful Ed — A Santa Fe Story, at 6 p.m. on Tues­day, Nov. 13. En­joy some pop­corn and hot cider dur­ing the screen­ing.
