SITE Santa Fe, 1606 Paseo de Peralta, 505-989-1199 Inspired by Argentine writer Julio Cortázar’s 1946 short story “Casa tomada” (House Taken Over), and adopting the story’s name as its title, SITE Santa Fe’s third biennial in the SITElines series explores notions of ownership — be it ownership of land, culture, mind, or body. The show continues the biennial series’ focus on the contemporary art of the Americas and features nearly two dozen artists from eight countries as well as 10 new commissions. The exhibition considers the ways in which boundaries are dissolved or violated in personal, political, and social arenas. Casa tomada remains on view through Jan. 6, 2019.
