THE PLANETS SEND US BACK INSIDE for personal homework. Thoughtful Mercury is retrograde, and both Mercury and Venus enter introspective, reserved Scorpio this weekend. This can pull us inward and ask us to review the woes of the world. We feel deeply but may not show it. Mercury retrograde can model our thinking, and this, with the strong Scorpio primal emotions, can stir the specter of jealousy and revenge. Activating Mars, now in gentle Pisces, can make us less likely to act upon it. Scorpio calls us to productive solitude, but that doesn’t mean isolation. This week’s mood is great for research and therapy; let’s give our obsessive focus a healthy place to go.

Friday begins on a relatively upbeat note, though a low-level worry can nag us. On Saturday a sociable Libra moon brings our attention to relationships, but let’s not overload them with any ongoing existential angst. On Sunday and Monday, play extra safe as the sun squares Mars and increases our irritability and propensity for accidents. A brooding Scorpio moon Monday through Wednesday sharpens our focus, sharpens tongues, and could reveal secrets from the past.

While our imagination cooks, a fog of confusion and mishaps could thicken on Wednesday and Thursday. Remember all good Mercury retrograde survival skills: Confirm all appointments and ask for clarification if someone’s words are confusing. Check directions and engines. Find the amusement in minor mishaps. Meditate often. Mercury turns direct on Thursday and enters upbeat Sagittarius the week after; our winter ebullience returns.

FRIDAY, NOV. 30: The mood is restless and creative. The Virgo moon sharpens our critique and anxiety. Put relationships on a good footing. Tonight, it furthers to indulge in the arts.

SATURDAY, DEC. 1: While the mood is generally positive, our minds may want to perseverate on some unfinished business. Mercury retrogrades back into suspicious Scorpio under a friendly moon in Libra. If some certainty melts, don’t invest in the doubt.

SUNDAY, DEC. 2: We can have a real chip on our shoulders by the end of the day as Venus enters Scorpio and Mars and the sun square off. Because Mars is presently now in Pisces and conjuncts Neptune, aggression can come out passive-aggressively. Some problem that arose in September or October now needs work.

MONDAY, DEC. 3: People give the side-eye but don’t always tell us what the problem is as the moon enters Scorpio. There is a lot going on behind the scenes. It may take a while to see what’s brewing. This focus helps where we have a clear goal and work to do. Listen for difficult news that will be healing in the long run.

TUESDAY, DEC. 4: We may still be in a snarky mood, but we can make steady progress with ongoing work. Morning is productive but the afternoon sleepily glazes us over. It’s best to avoid any place where speed and clarity are needed.

WEDNESDAY, DEC. 5: Multitasking increases our risks. Have patience. Focus on personal homework and make progress on one thing at a time. When conditions are confusing, slow down and concentrate. The mood can lighten tonight as the moon enters Sagittarius and approaches Jupiter.

THURSDAY, DEC. 6: Place no orders today. Mercury turns direct this afternoon and appears to hold still this morning. Enjoy camaraderie. Take it slow and easy today, and feel the momentum pick up over the next few days. Begin to straighten out misunderstandings and get the ducks back in a row.
