New Mex­ico His­tory Mu­seum, 113 Lin­coln Ave., 505-476-5200 The ex­hi­bi­tion Atomic His­to­ries con­tin­ues through May 27, 2019. The show looks at the ad­vance­ment of nu­clear tech­nol­ogy in New Mex­ico since the wan­ing days of World War II and through the Cold War into the present day, high­light­ing sto­ries of both fame and in­famy. The ex­hibit con­sid­ers pi­o­neer­ing work in physics, chem­istry, and other sci­en­tific fields that oc­curred in places like the Los Alamos Na­tional Lab­o­ra­to­ries, and more omi­nous his­to­ries, such as those rep­re­sented by the Man­hat­tan Pro­ject. The show fea­tures two large-scale in­stal­la­tions by artist Meridel Ruben­stein: Crit­i­cal Mass and Op­pen­heimer’s Chair.
