Gene Kloss: Pueblo Leader
1965, etching and drypoint
Lew-Allen Galleries, 1613 Paseo de Peralta, 505-988-3250 Printmaker Gene Kloss created majestic and atmospheric etchings of local landscapes as well as sensitive representations of the indigenous peoples of New Mexico. A member of the Taos art colony, Kloss had a longtime engagement with the Southwest, developing her own innovative techniques for etchings that have been likened to those of Dutch Masters in their technical expertise. The exhibit Gene Kloss: New Mexico Etched in Time continues through Jan. 5, 2019.
