KEEP Contemporary, 142 Lincoln Ave., Suite 102, 505-557-9574, keepcontemporary.com Four artists bring their own interpretations to the symbolic imagery of divinatory Tarot cards in the exhibition Readings .The show was curated by Hugo Awardwinning illustrator Elizabeth Leggett and includes her own work as well as the art of Washington-based illustrator Lee Moyer, New Mexico-based painter and illustrator Sienna Luna, and Massachusetts-based illustrator Reiko Murakami Rice. The artists blend themes from the Tarot with imagery inspired by short stories, speculative fiction, and works of fantasy. Leggett is showing digital paintings based on the 22 cards of Tarot’s major arcana and works by author Ray Bradbury. Moyer exhibits Tarot-style cards replete with imagery from the books of George R.R. Martin and other writers. Luna uses Tarot imagery to explore themes of duality. Rice explores surreal narratives in a series of graphite drawings. Readings is currently on view and remains up through Nov. 10.
