From spirit to spectacular
It’sabusytimeofyearforthesantafeyouthsymphonyassociation,with its Spirit of Adventure! spring concerts and 30th Season Spectacular show only eight days apart.
Three performances are set for Saturday, April 27. Concert 1 features the Running Start Beginning Orchestra, Prelude String Orchestra, Pasitos Clase de Mariachi, Mariachi Citlali, and Los Alamos Jazz Guaje Combo. Concert 2 features the Ruidoso Chamber Orchestra, Intermezzo String Orchestra, and Los Alamos Jazz Rendija Combo. Concert 3 features Santa Fe Jazz Atalaya, Nambe & Tesuque Combos, and Los Alamos Jazz Caldera Combo. On May 5, the 30th Season Spectacular will showcase the Santa Fe Youth Symphony, Youth Philharmonic, Mariachi Estrella, Quemazón Jazz Combo, and Sierra String Quartet.
It also has been a busy time behind the scenes for the association, which on March 14 announced plans to merge with the Santa Fe Symphony Orchestra and Chorus. The association was set to move to the orchestra’s headquarters, and artistic director Haley
