TWO NEW LAUNCHES FOR TURKISH SIRENA MARINE

-

Istanbul-based Sirena Marine has introduced a pair of motoryachts to the United States market—in 56 and 64 feet— at the 2017 Yachts Miami Beach boat show. Miami serves as the global debut for the former, a sleek, stylish 56-footer with an impressive design pedigree inside and out. Sirena signed design guru Tommaso Spadolini to handle interiors for the line, and both yachts, though different, share simple-but-elegant Euro design features, and focus on an airy, open plan that benefits from heaps of natural light ingress. Each yacht sports a slightly reversed-from-plumb bow with a fine entry, hard chines on a semi-displacement hull, and generous spaces about for lounging on the main or flybridge deck.

World-renowned Frers Naval Architects & Engineering designed the

yachts to comply with CE Category A standards, and the result on the 56 is an efficient and versatile speed range up to 27 knots with optional 850-horsepower Caterpillar engines. At 10 knots, the manufacturer estimates a range of 850 nautical miles carrying 950 gallons of diesel.

Inside, the 56 features a standard 3-cabin configuration with an option for a single-berth crew quarters accessed through the transom. But in the optional, two-stateroom layout, the 56’s design signature is her forward cabin. Accessed via the traditional staircase that runs down to the accommodations level (starboard of the port-sided helm), or through a large, gas-assisted hatch from the forward deck, either offers private entry to this uniquely configured VIP suite. The suite itself features a kingsize forward-facing berth, a sitting area sporting two chairs and a table that are situated just aft of the chain locker,

and plenty of stowage in three hanging lockers. This imaginative stateroom is enhanced by a smart Jack-and-Jill ensuite head that provides access to other onboard guests, or acts as a day head.

If all things go according to plan, look for the 56 to return stateside for the 2017 Fort Lauderdale International Boat Show. www.sirenayachts.com
