1959 A dou­ble no-hit­ter in­volv­ing four pitch­ers re­sulted in a seven-in­ning stale­mate as the Ger­man Club and Galego Oil bat­tled to a 0-0 dead­lock in the Na­tional Di­vi­sion of the Dar­ling­ton Lit­tle League. Pete Giard hurled the first six in­nings, strik­ing out 12 and walk­ing two while Bob MacQueen worked the sev­enth, giv­ing up one hit and fan­ning one for the Ger­man Club. Larry Garabe­dian and Dick Jack­son toed the rub­ber for Galego with Garabe­dian whiff­ing seven and walk­ing four in six frames and Jack­son fan­ning one and is­su­ing one free pass in the fi­nal in­ning.

1969 Bob As­selin fired a no-hit­ter and struck out 10 and Jerry As­selin’s sixth in­ning dou­ble scored the win­ning run as the Sulkies nipped the Tigers 1-0 in the Pee Wee A Di­vi­sion of the Paw­tucket Boys’ Club-Recre­ation De­part­ment Base­ball League. In other Pee Wee A play, Norm Scherza rapped a dou­ble and three sin­gles and Russ Martin cracked a triple and a sin­gle to pace the Whiz Kids past the Aces 13-6. Harry Laberge spun a four-hit­ter and fanned 11 in pac­ing the Saints to a 4-0 blank­ing over the Triplets.

1979 Dan Hod­nett belted a home run, a triple and a sin­gle to carry the First & Last Chance Saloon to a 13-8 win over the CC Club in a Paw­tucket Twi­light Soft­ball League tilt. In other league play, Mike Clynes ripped a cir­cuit clout and two sin­gles and Gary Rocha and Dave Joyal pounded three hits apiece as the Roy­als out­lasted R. I. Litho­graph 17-16 in a slugfest. Richard Grybbs belted a grand slam and Paul Labonte drove in four runs with three hits for the losers.
