1982 Ed Reis rolled a high string of 146 and a high three

series of 396 to set the pace in the Pawtucket City Hall Duckpin Bowling League. Other leaders were Bob Benson 134-375, Bill Martley 130-364, Ernie Pratt 145-362, Carl Benson 142-351, Elsie Rocha 117-347, Andrea Kelly 145338, Brian Kelly 122-336, Tom Mullen 116-322 Armand Baron 121-322, Phyllis Wild 111-321, Margie Crowell 122-320 and Norman Bourassa 108- 318.

1992 Anthony Dantzler scored five touchdowns and fellow

running mate Mark Roderick rushed for 156 yards in 10 carries, including a 49-yard touchdown jaunt, to lead Shea to a 40-0 whitewash over Burrillvil­le and run the Raiders’ Class D winning streak to 16 straight, one coming in the 1991 Super Bowl. Dantzler scored on runs of 36, 13, five and four yards and was on the receiving of an 89-yard aerial from QB Elmer Pina. Defensivel­y, Walter Parfitt had a fumble recovery and a sack while playing one of his top games of the season. 2002 QB Dwayne Hedquist completed 12 of 23 passes for

201 yards and two touchdowns and ran for another as Burrillvil­le manufactur­ed a mild 27-20 Division 3 upset victory over Tolman in Saturday’s chill and drizzle. Hedquist had scoring strikes of 56 yards to Justin French and 45 yards to Joe Bellini who rushed for 151 yards on 20 carries and also scampered 55 yards for a Bronco TD. The Tigers’ signal-caller, Steve Bourgault, had 13 completion­s in 18 attempts for 109 yards and touchdowns tosses of five yards to Alex Torres, eight yards to Jose Sanchez and five yards to Eli Johnson.
