HOROSCOPES Mars Throws the Gauntlet

Mars throws the gauntlet down at Neptune’s feet and the two planetary heavy hitters start the duel. It’s politics against progress. What is more important, saving face or saying the truth? What is most helpful to the situation, adding your energy to the side that’s winning or pointing out what’s not quite right about the winning team?

ARIES (March 21-April 19). You’ll be several people throughout the course of the day: a contemplative contributor, a silly playmate, a teacher, a student, a respected expert. You embody your roles with grace.

TAURUS (April 20-May 20). The show is where you are. You don’t always have to have the main character energy, but you definitely feel like wherever you go, that’s where life is happening.

GEMINI (May 21-June 21). There’s a boisterous quality to the day. You may feel you have to fight your way into doors that should have already been opened for you. Loved ones bombard you when you want peace, only because you’re so needed.

CANCER (June 22-July 22). You go out of your way to keep even the simplest agreement. The less you commit yourself, the better you’ll be at keeping all your commitments. You can always go above and beyond; then, it’s a treat for everyone.

LEO (July 23-Aug. 22). You look for the good and usually you find it. Sometimes it’s just not there -- a signal you have to put some in. You have endless wells of gold in your heart, so this is not a problem for you once you decide to reach down and deal it up.

VIRGO (Aug. 23-Sept. 22). In life and in travel, it’s the intersections we must look out for. Stay aware, look both ways, then look all ways. Keep your head on a swivel through the crossroads. Transitions are necessary dangers.

LIBRA (Sept. 23-Oct. 23). Your idea of what you’re capable of may be limited. You don’t know what you can accomplish until you do it. Until then, just believe in yourself. You’ll feel better about the whole process when you bet on you.

SCORPIO (Oct. 24-Nov. 21). Keep your cool in the battle of wills. You may be on opposite sides of the seesaw, but without each other you’ll go nowhere. Getting to common ground will take some flexibility on both sides. A mediator can settle disputes.

SAGITTARIUS (Nov. 22-Dec. 21). There’s a reason people call it a “perfect” stranger. The blank slate of new people can be pristine indeed and ripe for whatever projection you want to make. Be careful in this regard today.

CAPRICORN (Dec. 22-Jan. 19). Accurate information is not always useful but useful information is always accurate. Only the stories that are built on the truth will stand up in today’s environment. Check the facts.

AQUARIUS (Jan. 20-Feb. 18). You know the secret. This is no ordinary world. You’ll be amazed and mystified by what you learn about the creatures who walk among the regular ones. You dream of them, spot them and interact with them in your own creative way.

PISCES (Feb. 19-March 20). You can appreciate the current situation and still advocate for improvement. As long as things are changing, why not steer them to the changes you desire?

TODAY’S BIRTHDAY (Nov. 19). It’s your belief that the right attitude is a light attitude, and you’re able to embody it much to everyone’s benefit. You can find the positive answer to any question. You’ll be promoted, respected and paid for your stellar attitude. Also in store: a real estate exchange that favors you and a heroic move that helps someone. Libra and Sagittarius adore you. Your lucky numbers are: 5, 10, 14, 9 and 13.

CELEBRITY PROFILES: A new wedding movie stars Allison Janney with Kristen Bell and a whole lot of comedic family tension. “The People We Hate at the Wedding” will be released within moments of Janney’s solar return, which we know is extremely auspicious for a film project. Janney was born under a preponderance of Scorpio water sign energy lending emotional virtuosity enhanced further by the sharp humor of a Cancer moon.
