2002 Peter Pan, Tricia Pan and Jen LeClair of Pawtucket
gave exceptional showings at the Eastern Surfing Association’s Holiday Surfabout at the Narragansett Town Beach. Peter won the Senior Longboard division, Tricia copped the Junior Women’s title and LeClair seized the Women’s longboard title. The surf was a consistent 2-3 feet, but 30-45 knot gusts made for close-out surf and flying surfboards, while the wind chill dropped the temperatures into the low teens.
