Very much torn

I noticed that in the Cyberpunk 2077 footage, CD Projekt Red say that first-person perspective is more immersive. I couldn’t disagree more. It takes me out of the story and the game. I’m torn between experiencing a great story and the disorientation of being stuck in a first-person view. It’s not the best form of storytelling, and I believe this is a conscious choice by CDPR that has more to do with not having to put in the work to animate a third-person character. John Warrick Phil: To suggest it’s so CDPR don’t have to animate a character is a stretch. The team is already animating hundreds of characters throughout the city, and also have to create detailed first-person animations, too.
