Fortnite remains the hottest game on Twitch

At E3, Epic took its latest victory lap with the Fortnite Celebrity Pro-Am, a tournament where popular streamers teamed up with notable celebrities to take on the field at the Bank of America Stadium in Los Angeles. Ninja won, because of course he did, along with his celebrity partner, the popular masked music producer and DJ, Marshmello.

The event garnered an astonishing 1.46 million concurrent viewers, which is better ratings than most cable dramas could hope for.

Late 2018 will bring yet more entries to the battle royale genre (even Callof Duty’s getting involved with BlackOps 4’ s Blackout mode)—perhaps one will be a challenger for the crown.

But right now the future is blindingly bright for Fortnite.
