Flora Jane ‘Janie’ Jones
Flora Jane “Janie” Jones, 59, of Bentonville, died Thursday, Jan. 26. She was born Oct. 3, 1952, in Forest City, Ark., to Cecil Earnest Troy and Doris May Wells Troy.
She grew up in Pea Ridge and graduated from Pea Ridge High School in 1971. She married Terry Jones on May 12, 1984, and they made their home in Bentonville. She worked for Pel Industries in Rogers for 20 years prior to her retirement. She enjoyed flea markets, collecting lighthouses, playing games and her grandchildren. She was a member of the Pea Ridge Church of The Nazarene where she was very active, was a Sunday School teacher and member of the board.
She was preceded in death by her parents.
Survivors include her husband Terry of the home; two sons, Brandon Jones and wife, Tobie, of Bentonville, and Chris Jones and wife, Jessica, of Bella Vista; two brothers, Cecil Troy Jr. and wife, Janet, of Pea Ridge, and James Troy and wife, Betty, of Bentonville; two sisters, Judy Mcgowen and husband, Benny, of Comanche, Okla., and June Milliken and husband, Ed, of Bentonville; and her special friend Glenna Fletcher of Rogers; six grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
Visitation was Sunday, Jan. 29, at Sisco Funeral Home In Pea Ridge.
Funeral service was Monday, Jan. 30, at the Church of The Nazarene, in Pea Ridge, with pastor Aaron Matthews officiating.
Burial was at Buttram Chapel Cemetery.
