FFA degree awards presented

Parent-member night was a huge success.

Thirty Greenhand degrees and seven chapter degrees were awarded during the ceremony, which was attended by approximat­ely 75 people. The guest speaker, Kelsey Parmenter, did an outstandin­g job outlining her view of the Pea Ridge High School FFA organizati­on.

“I can summarize my FFA experience with four key concepts: Premier leadership, personal growth, career success, but most of all, I consider it life changing,” Parmenter said.

Abbye Coan showed her enthusiasm for the organizati­on by reciting the FFA Creed.

Officers are Jenny Isgrigg, president; Wesley Woollard, vice president; Austin Cope, sentinel; Ryan Nichols, treasurer; Kami Parmenter, reporter; Afton Danner, secretary; and Billy Hern, junior advisor.

Greenhand Degree awards were presented to Dakota Aikens, Hailey Biddinger, Curry Cato, Abbye Coan, Daniel Clark, K.C. Cross, Chandler Drain, Garrett Easterling, Wyatt Glover, Miles Hamilton, Logan Harwell, Kalob Henry, Joe Huffman, Thomas Lammey, Hunter Lane, Kody Losey, Brandi Luper, P.J. Luper, Jessica Manuel, Cameron Mcallister, Tiffany Norman, Colton Roughton, Serenna Shultz, Jeremy Smith, Samantha Truesdell, Matthew Van Houden, Cheyenne Ward, Dakota Winn, Samuel Wallace and Jared Woollard.

Chapter Degree was awarded to Austin Cope, Afton Danner, Zach Early, Tyler Hamilton, Jenny Isgrigg, Ryan Nichols and Kami Parmenter.
