Words cannot describe the appreciation I have for the warm reception yesterday afternoon. I have to admit, never in my wildest dreams have I envisioned myself involved in such a memorable event. All my professional life, I have served in a capacity to support, provide and cherish the success with others, and in my 28 years of education, I’ve always stepped back and enjoyed the achievements of others, recognized them for their hard work, and truly appreciated the individual accomplishment. No matter what my wife says, it’s never been about me.

Yesterday, the tables were turned. I had an opportunity to feel and enjoy collective successes together; I will never forget it. Yes, yesterday was to recognize me as the next superintendent of Pea Ridge, and I truly appreciate the kind words and well wishes. However, this day was more than that for me. It was a day to celebrate a school and community coming together. I truly appreciate and I’m honored to be the next superintendent of Pea Ridge. I think you will agree; this was a great day for Rick Neal but a better day for Pea Ridge Schools and the community of Pea Ridge. Thank you.

Sincerely, given over the weekend. The chicken sale was a was a great success, all $1,901 will go towards operating cost and field up keep.

We also want to say “Thank you” to all the volunteers that helped with the chicken sale and the field work day. The next opportunity to help support the league is to bring by any rummage sale items you may have lying around the house. We will be having a rummage sale drop off from 5-9 p.m. Friday, April 6, at the baseball fields on Weston Street. The rummage sale will take place Saturday, April 21, in Bentonville.

The league also has a Facebook page (Pea Ridge Youth Sports), please “like” this page for all you league needs: scheduling, upcoming events, game cancellations and any other information.

Thanks!
