Geneva Ruth Mcginnis
Geneva Ruth Mcginnis, 83, of Bentonville died Sunday, April 29, at Bradford House Care Center. She was born Sept. 30, 1928, at Seligman, Mo., to Kirtsy Still and Pansy Ruth Fine Still.
She married Edward Mcginnis Sept. 7, 1947. She moved from Pea Ridge to Bentonville in 1959 to make her home. She worked for Munsingwear Hosiery in Rogers for 11 years and St. Mary’s Hospital as a bookkeeper for 31 years. She enjoyed traveling, camping, crafts, sewing and was a member of the Church of the Nazarene in Bentonville where she was a Sunday School teacher.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Edward in 2005; a son, Larry Mcginnis; a brother, Glenn Still; and a granddaughter, Merry Noel Mcginnis.
Survivors include a son, Jimmy Mcginnis, and wife, Gaila, of Garfield; a brother, Larry Still, and wife, Jill, of Seligman, Mo.; two sisters, Mary Michael of Siloam Springs and Lois England and husband, Bud, of Exeter, Mo.; two grandchildren; and three greatgrandchildren.
Visitation is from 6-8 p.m. Wednesday, May 2, at Sisco Funeral Home in Pea Ridge.
Service is 10 a.m. Thursday, May 3, at the Church of the Nazarene in Bentonville with pastor Mark Snodgrass officiating.
Burial will be at Pea Ridge Cemetery.
Arrangements are by Sisco Funeral Home in Pea Ridge.
