Dwight Edward Jack, 62, of Garfield, died Sept. 1, 2012. He was born July 20, 1950, in Independen­ce, Mo., to Merrill Jack and Kathleen Jack.

Jack grew up and attended school in Grandview, Mo. After graduation, he enlisted in the U.S. Navy in December 1968 and became a member of Seal Team Two. After leaving full-time service he had a diving career and husband, Greg Guthrie, of Flemington, N.J.; nieces, Sarah Guthrie, and Grace Assad and husband, Peter, of Kansas City, Mo.

Services were at 11 a.m. Wednesday, Sept. 5, at Whitney Mountain Chapel in Garfield with pastor Alan Tyson officiatin­g.

Arrangemen­ts are with Sisco Funeral Home in Pea Ridge.

In lieu of flowers donations may go to Lost Bridge Community Church or a favorite charity in Jack’s memory.

He resided in Navarre, Fla., then moved to the Lost Bridge Community in Garfield to care for his mother and dad. He loved helping others and considered no job too big or too small to tackle. He was always ready with a joke and his infectious grin will be missed by all who knew him.

He was preceded in death by his father, Merrill Jack.
