Bonnie Ellingwood

Bonnie Ellingwood, 69, of Garfield, died Feb. 17, 2013, in her home. She was born Jan. 27, 1944, in Redwood Falls, Minn., to Ted and Goldie Mae Hollon Castle.

She worked at the Avoca One Stop and was a member of the First Baptist Church in Garfield.

She was preceded in death by her parents and one grandson.

Survivors include her husband, Jerry Ellingwood of the home; three daughters, Teresa Ward of Rock, Kan., Margarete Ingram of Pea Ridge and Melissa Ellingwood of Rogers; brothers and sisters, Ted Castle Jr., Ireane Campagna, Jean Lechner, Joanne Schlmmer, Bobby Castle, Val Denton, Pat Polley, Margarete Shook, Jim Castle, Butch Castle and Ila Sageley; eight grandchild­ren; and nine great-grandchild­ren.

Visitation was from 4 to 6 p.m. Wednesday, Feb. 20, at the funeral home.

Funeral services were at 2 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 21, at Benton County Funeral Home, 306 N. Fourth St., Rogers, with the Rev. Benny Thompson officiatin­g.

Interment followed in the Walnut Hill Cemetery near Garfield.

James Albert Welch

James Albert Welch, 56 of Pea Ridge, died Sunday, Feb. 24, at Circle of Life Hospice in Bentonvill­e. He was born Dec. 29, 1956, at Riverside, Calif.

He served six years in the U.S. Air Force and was employed by Landers-McLarty in Bentonvill­e in car sales. He was a Baptist, enjoyed fishing, the outdoors and was an animal lover.

Survivors include his mother, Shirley Lane, and step-father, Wymbert Lane, of Pea Ridge; one brother, Johnny Swanson and wife, Jody, of Centerton; two sisters, Cindy Dupuis and Joi Swanson, both of Rogers; one uncle, Bill Gardner of Bentonvill­e; one aunt, Connie Dingman of Pea Ridge; and his constant companion, “Roxie.”

A memorial service is set for 2 p.m Sunday, March 10, at Glorious Grace Fellowship, 4135 N. 2nd St., Rogers, with the Rev. Louis Threet and Mark Simon officiatin­g.

Cremation arrangemen­ts were by Sisco Funeral Home of Pea Ridge.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Circle of Life Hospice at Legacy Village, 900 NE Verdant, Bentonvill­e, Ar. 72712.
