Top-rated center provides skilled care, therapy

-

One of only two five-star facilities in Benton County, Highlands Healthcare and Rehab in Bella Vista provides around-the-clock skilled care and therapy.

Business office manager Jennifer Guinn said Highlands offers outpatient rehabilitation and is committed to providing the best care possible.

“We offer outpatient rehab to help each patient achieve the highest level of independence after they go home,” she said. “We are a five-star facility that provides excellent care to all of our residents.”

In addition to rehab, residents participate in planned activities and receive three balanced meals a day, along with their choice of snacks throughout the day. Guinn said the activities program receives a lot of support from the community.

Each resident receives quality, personalized care from dedicated nurses, Guinn said.

“Highlands genuinely cares for every one of our residents,” she said. “Not only do we develop and establish a relationship with each resident, but we also develop and maintain a relationship with the families.”

Several families and former residents stop by Highlands to visit the staff after they have discharged.

“We frequently have residents who choose to come back to us again after they have had elective surgeries,” Guinn said.

The staff of Highlands offers in-house and outpatient programs including physical therapy, occupational therapy and speech therapy with Vital-Stim and LSVT-Loud certification. There is also a certified strength-training specialist on staff.

Highlands offers skilled nursing, long- term care, respite care, post-hospital and post-surgical care, specialty wound care, intravenous therapy, pain management, facility and community activities, diabetic management, admission/discharge planning and a community re-entry program.

Highlands is located at 670 Rogers Road and accepts private pay, managed care, Medicare and Medicaid. More information is available by calling (479) 876-1847.
