Photo Exhibit on Ozark Log Buildings
Single Pens, Saddlebags and Dogtrots, a photo exhibit featuring Ozark log homes and outbuildings, will be on display through May 11 at the Shiloh Museum of Ozark History in Springdale. The photo exhibit explores the construction and architectural styles of log buildings, as well as what it was like to live in them.
Railway Society
The Boston Mountain Chapter of the National Railway Historical Society will meet at 7 p.m. Thursday, March 21, at the Shiloh Museum of Ozark History.
Wireless Society
The Ozark Wireless Society will meet at 10 a.m. Saturday, March 23, at the Shiloh Museum of Ozark History.
Civil War Roundtable
The Northwest Arkansas Civil War Roundtable will meet at 7 p.m. Thursday, March 28, at the Shiloh Museum of Ozark History.
Exhibit on the History of the University Museum
From Archaeopteryx to Zapus, an exhibit on the history of the University of Arkansas Museum, will be on display through Jan. 11, 2014. The exhibit will showcase more than 200 objects and specimens on loan from the University Museum collections, including a black bear, emu egg, Plains Indians artifacts, Native American pottery, fossils, the Fayetteville meteorite, fluorescent minerals, and the keyboard and timer from the Old Main carillon which used to chime the hours and for special events.
